The photo above shows what Angelenos would consider a "small" street at only five cars wide. A similarly-sized street in New York City, by contrast, would be considered a major conduit. More...
Sunset is a blazing-fast seven lanes wide, with huge intersections to match — intersections with interminable light cycles that all but encourage drivers to take risks like running red lights. More...
"...Santa Monica is a beast. It is a composite road, comprised of the main boulevard and the one-way "little" Santa Monicas flanking it to provide access to shops + houses. In other words, its design exactly mimics a freeway" More...
In honor of the LA StreetSummit, NSLA has done its trademark transformation to Grand Avenue outside the conference's site at LA Trade Tech College. More...

Yesterday, the Governor attended a press conference at the site of the most expensive highway project to be funded with Stimulus funds and unwittingly removed any doubt that he doesn't understand the connection between freeways, the environment and public health. More...
Huntington Drive becomes all but unrecognizable when narrowed down to a single lane, and little details (the clock tower, City Hall's flagpole) all begin to make a little more sense for this quiet, cozy suburb. That cyclist would be a happier camper without cars whizzing by at 55mph, wouldn'tcha say? More...
